According to NY Times report Google CEO Eric Schmidt has confirmed the Google tablet device which will run over Android operating system and the company is also experimenting in “stealth mode” with publishers to explore delivery of books, magazines and other content on a tablet.

Definitely to give a boost to Android OS Google must bring its own branded Android tablet in the market to compete with the rivals for example Apple iPad as HP is already working over Android Slate which is more smaller than Apple iPad in size of 6 inches diagonally.

So, if there will be more variety of tablets available in market that will be good for consumers to select a tablet computer of their choice with their preferred operating system.

Yes! Now any IM client or messenger could support Facebook Chat. You don’t have to stay logged in to Facebook in your browser and can receive messages from your friends, right on your IM client. Facebook Messenger is probably the only thing that has been lacking in otherwise a complete social network. Now Facebook Chat supports Jabber/XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol), an open protocol for instant messaging, that can be integrated into any desktop or web based software. Google Talk also uses same protocol. This could benefit both, Facebook users as well as Facebook developers.

For Facebook users, it has been long due to have a trustable Facebook Messenger that could give them access to Facebook chat even after they closed their browser. Browser chat has also been missing important features like message alerts and sounds etc. Now we may see improved applications embedding Facebook chat.

Facebook developers get an exciting new prospect to work upon. They can integrate Facebook chat in web applications or desktop clients. To make it easier, Facebook is also launching support for Facebook Connect that will address the issues Facebook chat client developers may face. And great thing is that adding your Jabber based chat client to Facebook is very easy, just like implementing the Facebook Connect is.

Important Points to consider:

For Facebook Chat on 3rd party apps, you MUST have a Facebook Username

This is a must now. If you want to use a Jabber based desktop client to use Facebook Chat, you must have a Facebook username. Reason: Your chat identity will be username@chat.facebook.com. If you haven’t got a username, you can’t access Facebook Chat on AIM, Pidgin, Adium, iChat or any other IM client. To get a Facebook username, go to http://www.facebook.com/username.

When Logged into IM, You’ll Appear Online on Facebook

If you are logged into a third party chat client, you will appear online on Facebook.

Chat Settings can be changed from Facebook only, not from third party chat clients. You can allow/block friends from Facebook Chat after logging into Facebook. Only friends you chose will appear on Facebook Chat clients.

Did you know you could run Windows 7 on iPad? Let’s see how. Apple iPad left many users disappointed by launching the iPad with iPhone OS that limited the functionality of what could be a potential threat to notebooks. However solutions are always there, and even before the launch of the iPad, we could see an app that enables you to run Windows 7 on iPad. Citrix Systems have promised to enable running Windows 7 on iPad using Citrix XenApp (application virtualization solution) or XenDesktop (desktop virtualization solution). Citrix has already such an app for iPhone but with iPad just around the corner, there are new opportunities with larger display and full keyboard that iPhone didn’t have.

Even after being able to run Windows 7 on iPad, you could still find some missing links. Obviously absence of mouse will be felt by many but what you need to be clear about is that you will NOT be running Windows 7 on iPad, you’ll actually be using your iPad as a client to run Windows at a remote Server. So, it’s not as exciting as it sounds and still many of users will be having plenty of reasons for not buying iPad. Nonetheless, Citrix receiver will enable you to put some functionality to the iPad to make it a useful tool. However the promise of being a perfect replacement to Notebook is still way too far.
